Early Life & Education
- Born on March 30, 1962, in Patna, Bihar, to Late Shri Vishwanath Singh and Smt. Prabha Singh, with his ancestral roots in Amnour, Saran.
- Completed his schooling from St. Michael's High School, Patna.
- Earned his pre-university from DAV College, Chandigarh.
- Completed his B.A. (Hons.) in Economics at Government College, Chandigarh.
- Obtained a Degree in Law (LL.B.) from Panjab University in 1985 and a post-graduation in Economics from Magadh University in 1987.
- Served as a Lecturer of Economics in A.N. College, Patna, before entering politics.
- Actively involved in student politics, serving as President of the Students Union at Government College, Chandigarh (1982) and General Secretary of the Panjab University Students Union (1984).
